Learn The Secrets from your Children:
Say What You Want: Kids boldly declare what they want when they want it. None of this magical mind reading ‘if he loved me he would know’ kind of thinking. Children know what pleases them and aren’t afraid to ask for it. No holding back for fear of sounding silly or demanding, they want it, they say it. And why, because they know if they ask for it, there’s a good chance they might actually get it. Still not convinced? Take a kid to a toy store and you’ll see it in full blossom. “I want, I want, I want….” Speak up; you just might get what you ask for.
Laugh: Kids know how to find delight in EVERYTHING. Sex is meant to be fun. Be silly, laugh, have fun.
Don’t Be Afraid to Get a Little Messy: Finger-painting, food, mud, water – kids know how to have a good time with the simplest things, and they aren’t afraid of getting a little dirty. Sex is messy and the more creative you are the messier it can get. Enjoy the process. Don’t be afraid to try a little finger-painting, food, mud, and water play yourselves.
Play and Pretend: Kids have amazing imaginations. Listen closely to the fairytale adventures they create in their play. They are prince and princess, superheroes, warriors, and aliens. They use their imagination to create fun and play and manipulate their environment to support their stories. Use your imagination. When’s the last time you played in a cardboard box or a couch-cushion fort?
Great sex isn’t about the number of positions you can contort your body into, great sex comes from connecting and enjoying your partner.
So in Grown-Up terms: Communicate and Have Fun. There’s a reason we call Sex “Adult Play.”
